THE LOOP — Garrett Popcorn is celebrating its anniversary with 70-cent popcorn bags this week.
Bags of Garrett Mix, a combination of cheddar and caramel, will be available for 70 cents 11 a.m.-1 p.m. through Friday at all locations, the iconic popcorn shop wrote on Facebook.
The deal is part of celebrations for Garrett’s 70th anniversary. The first of the Chicago-based chain’s stores open in 1949 at 10 W. Madison St.
The 70-cent deal is limited to one bag per customer transaction.
Those who place orders online can also have shipping dropped to 70 cents if using the code “CELEBRATE70.” The Chicago-based chain is also discounting classic tins of Garrett Mix to $19.49 next week and will host an anniversary party Sept. 18 at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave.
