ENGLEWOOD — Pets affected by Hurricane Dorian are getting a little help from PAWS Chicago and Ald. Raymond Lopez (15th), who are collecting donations for animals in need of a little TLC.
Last week, PAWS Chicago received more than 60 dogs and cats from Florida shelters as none are able to remain in the outdoor rescues stationed there, Lopez said.
Lopez said they still need canned dog and cat food, pet treats, paper towels, 13-gallon trash bags, blue Dawn dish soap, poop bags, plush dog toys and Kong dog toys.
Blankets, towels and leashes are also being collected, and PAWS is also accepting monetary donations.
People can drop off the donated items at the 15th Ward Service offices in Brighton Park, 2736 W. 47th St., and Englewood, 6412 S. Ashland Ave.
