UKRAINIAN VILLAGE — Traditional Ukrainian music, food, art and more will be on display this weekend during the 17th annual Ukrainian Village Fest.
The festival will take place from 1-10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday on West Superior Street between Oakley Boulevard and Leavitt Street.
Imported Ukrainian beer and traditional food will be available. Artist vendors will sell Ukrainian embroidery, jewelry, arts and crafts.
Ukrainian performers will include Hromovytsia Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and Nazar Savko, who will take the main stage along with pop star Anytchka. Violinist Innesa Tymochko-Dekajlo will perform a duet with Khrystyna Lopez.
A kids’ area will include pony rides, a petting zoo, rock climbing, a bounce house and more.
From 10 p.m.-2 a.m., DJ Mike Valentine will perform a mix of traditional Ukrainian music and other genres during an after party at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 2247 W. Chicago Ave.
Admission costs for the festival and to the kids’ area are $5. The after party costs $10.
