CHICAGO — It’s time to treat yourself.
Replay Lincoln Park is hosting a “Parks and Recreation”-themed pop-up starting next week, according to a news release. The arcade bar, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave., will be transformed into Pawnee, Indiana, the setting of the TV series — and beloved mini-horse Li’l Sebastian will make an appearance.
The pop-up will feature areas decorated like the Department of Parks and Reaction office, the Eagleton Fence and the Pit, among others, where attendees can take photos. There will also be a stable for Li’l Sebastian, the city’s famous mini-horse.
Li’l Sebastian will be at the pop-up in the form of a cutout through its entire run, but the Replay staff is also working on bringing in a real mini-horse during the last weeks of September to represent Li’l Sebastian.
Replay has partnered with Zizi’s Cafe to offer themed snacks, including the Paunch burger and waffles with whipped cream, the favorite treat of main character Leslie Knope. A specialty cocktail menu will include the Galentine’s Day, made with passion fruit orange juice and champagne, and Snake Juice.
Replay will host special events, including bingo and trivia. There will be also be a Mouse Rat rock concert and a sax performance from the handsome, mustachio’d Duke Silver.
The pop-up opens Aug. 30. Replay’s hours are 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, noon-3 a.m. Saturday and noon-2 a.m. Sunday.
