CHICAGO — A woman was raped in Auburn Gresham, police said.
The attack happened Aug. 10 and Chicago Police sent out a community alert about it on Sunday. Between 5-6 a.m., the woman was walking near the corner in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street when a man walked up to her from behind and pushed something into her back, police said.
The man ordered the woman to get into his car, police said. He took her to the 7700 block of South Peoria Street, where he sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.
The woman was able to get out of the car and the man drove away, police said.
The man was 20-30 years old, 6-foot-2 and drove a red car, police said.
