Police Looking For Driver Who Crashed Into 2 Women In Bridgeport Crosswalk Then Drove Over 1

The driver sped off after the Saturday hit-and-run near Archer Avenue and Halsted Street.

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a driver who hit two women and kept driving Saturday night in Bridgeport.

At 6:17 p.m. Saturday, the women were crossing the street in the crosswalk near Archer Avenue and Halsted Street when a driver hit them, according to a Chicago Police community alert. The driver then drove over one of the women and sped off.

The driver was lest seen going west on Archer Avenue, police said.

The driver was in a silver-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with black rims, police said. The driver’s side of the car was damaged and the front door window as covered in clear plastic and tape.

The conditions of the women was not released.
