THE LOOP — Seventeen car windshields were broken early Thursday at a Loop parking garage.
At 12:47 a.m., someone went around a 12-floor parking garage in the first block of East Adams Street, throwing a rock through the back windshields of cars, police said. In all, about 17 cars were damaged, though nothing was reported stolen.
No one was in custody, but police said the vandal was a 30- to 35-year-old black man who was 5-foot-8, weighed 180 pounds and had black hair.
Police said the damage was possibly related to another incident that happened at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, when someone went around a parking garage in 300 block of South Franklin Street and threw a rock through the back windshields of 24 cars.
