LOGAN SQUARE — Quiote and Todos Santos, an award-winning Mexican restaurant and its downstairs mezcal bar, is closing after over two years on California Avenue in Logan Square.

Quiote‘s owners announced the closure on Instagram Wednesday, saying the restaurant had served its last customers on Sunday and would not open again.

“After two and a half years we are grateful for everyone who shared their time with us over food and drinks at Quiote,” the Instagram post reads. “It has been an amazing run, but it is with heavy heart that due to personal reasons, Quiote and Todos Santos have completed their last service on Sunday, August 11th.”

Head chef Dan Salls ran popular food truck the Salsa Truck and the Garage lunch counter prior to opening Quiote in February of 2017 at 2456 N. California Ave.

The restaurant, which focused on regional Mexican cuisine and mezcal, snagged a spot on Michelin’s coveted Bib Gourmand list in 2018, and got rave reviews from critics and locals alike.
