CHICAGO — An 8-year-old girl was shot Sunday afternoon in Humboldt Park.
At 3:54 p.m., the girl was at a barbecue in the 1000 block of North Monticello Avenue when someone in a blue Dodge Charger fired shots, police said.
The girl was hit in her leg and she was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where she was in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
