String Of Burglaries Hit Chatham Homes, Police Say

In each case, thieves took televisions, video game consoles and other valuables, police said.

CHATHAM — The Chicago Police Department issued an alert after a string of burglaries hit several homes in the Chatham area late last month and earlier this month.

In each case, thieves entered the homes, taking televisions, video game consoles and other valuables.

There burglaries were reported in:

  • the 400 block of East 82nd Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 30
  • the 8100 block of South Dobson Avenue between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. July 9
  • the 8100 block of South Eberhart Avenue between 3 and 8 p.m. July 11
  • the 8200 block of South Drexel Avenue at 4:32 p.m. July 14

Police did not have a description of the suspect or suspects. Area South detectives are investigating.
