EDGEWATER — A staff member at Nicholas Senn High School has been removed from the Edgewater school because of allegations of inappropriate conduct with a former student, the school told parents in a letter Friday.
The letter, written by Principal Mary Beck, outlined that the employee has been removed and “an investigation has been initiated by the Office of the Inspector General.”
“Please know that we are taking this situation seriously, and we remain committed to providing our students with a safe, positive learning environment where they can reach their full potential,” Beck wrote.
In the letter, Beck said she was not able to discuss any further details due to the ongoing investigation at the school at 5900 N. Glenwood Ave.
A CPS spokesman declined to elaborate on the letter.
