CHICAGO — An outdoor go-kart track and mini-golf course is opening Friday in Goose Island.

The pop-up spot, called Neon Summer, will be spread across 2 acres with food trucks, themed cocktail bars, “unique surprises” at each mini-golf hole and “Instagrammable photo opps,” according to a news release. People of all ages will be able to attend — with kids 2 and younger getting in for free — when it opens Friday.

Attendees will be able to wander around, play games, race on the go-kart track, play a round of mini-golf, snap photos and eat and drink. At night, neon lights will turn on “for a party under the stars,” according to Neon Summer.

Food trucks will be available on a rotating basis with items like cotton candy, Chicago-style hot dogs and corn on the cob.

Tickets can be bought online for $15 per person and group packages are available. Neon Summer will be open 10 a.m.-11 p.m. daily through early September at 1465 N. Elston Ave.
