SOUTH LOOP — Four police cars and two officers’ personal cars were vandalized outside the 1st District station early Wednesday.
The cars were damaged about 2:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of South State Street, police said.
The vandal used a tire to smash one car’s windshield and the roof of an officer’s personal car, which had been parked in the street, according to ABC7. The vandal also put a concrete bucket onto the hood of an unmarked police SUV.
The vandal also damaged the fence of an outdoor seating area and a trash can further down State Street, according to ABC7.
An investigation was ongoing and no one was in custody.
