CHICAGO — A single block in Old Town has seen people robbed at least three times this month.
The robbers ran up to the victims, grabbed cellphones out of their hands and then ran off, according to a Chicago Police news release. The robbers held up a victim at gunpoint during one incident.
All of the robberies have occurred near the Sedgwick Brown Line stop in the 1500 block of North Sedgwick Street. One happened the afternoon of July 14 and two more happened Sunday evening.
The robbers were described as two men who were 18-25 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall and 175-180 pounds, police said.
