RAVENSWOOD — Ravenswood Manor neighbors will be showing off their gardens Sunday.
The neighborhood garden walk has its roots as the Manor Lawn and Garden Club Contest which first held in 1957. Now in its 62nd year, the garden walk continues to be a showcase of neighborhood gardens across historic Ravenswood Manor.
The free event begins at 1 p.m. Sunday and will feature more than 20 gardens. A list of participating gardens can be picked up under the pergola in Ravenswood Manor Park, 4626 N. Manor Ave.
After the garden walk, a free music festival organized by the Front Porch Concert series will be held at 5 p.m. at 2947 W. Wilson Ave.
At the concert, neighbors can hear music by Pat McKillen and Brian McGrath and drink beer donated by Revolution Brewing.
