PORTAGE PARK — Six Corners will host Rock The Badges for the first time this weekend.
Now in its seventh year, the event features two days of live music from bands comprised of first responders, their children and other family members.
The event starts at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Organizers are asking for a $5 donation at the entrance.
“Rock The Badges is a charity event that supports the families of Chicago firefighters and Chicago police officers killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty,” Ald. Jim Gardiner (45th) said.
In May, Chicago Police Officer John Garrido announced the charity event would be moving to the Six Corners commercial corridor this year.
