CHICAGO — A 47-year-old woman was shot late Wednesday in West Ridge.

At 10:46 p.m., the woman was found in an alley in the 6000 block of North Fairfield Street, police said. She’d been shot in her right leg.

The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as “stable,” police said.

The woman was “highly intoxicated” and was not immediately able to give further information, a police source said.

No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
