PILSEN — Modeled after a traditional Mexican market, the third annual Tacos y Tamales Festival will bring some of the city’s best tacos and tamales together this weekend in Pilsen.
The fest is set to run from 5-10 p.m. Friday and noon-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at West 16th and South Peoria streets.

Yvolina’s Tamales, Taqueria Los Comales, La Cebollita Grill, Spicy Mexican Grill, Juanitas Mexican Food, Don Pedro Carnitas, Churro Factory, Los Nandos, Mexi-Tacos Food and more will be serving up tacos and tamales all weekend long.
Music acts set to take the stage range from traditional mariachi to Latin rock-pop. Performers include Los Vicios de Papa, Sonora Dinamita and Mariachi Sirenas. Tribute acts are also set to perform hits from Santana and Selena.
The fest is free, but attendees will be asked to give an optional $5 donation when they enter the fest. The donation benefits the Frida Kahlo Community Organization.
