CHICAGO — A robber held up one person and beat another person recently in Lakeview, police said.
During the robbery, a man walked up to a victim, held a gun to the victim’s face and then robbed the person, according to a Chicago Police community alert. In the other incident, the thief walked up to the victim from behind, beat the victim and then went through his or her belongings and ran off without taking anything.
The incidents occurred:
- at 5:50 p.m. June 30 in the 600 block of West Oakdale Avenue
- at 9:24 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of North Clifton Avenue
The attacker was a white man who was 38-45 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2, 180-190 pounds and had short, brown hair, police said.
