CHICAGO — A 32-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon and then walked for a mile before getting help in the West Loop.
At 12:30 p.m., the man was in the 2400 block of West Lake Street on the Near West Side when he heard a loud noise and felt pain in his leg, police said. He’d been shot in his leg and walked to the 1200 block of West Fulton Market, where he called for help.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
