Natalie Figueroa, store manager at the Wicker Park pop-up site, described the shuttle service as a “pre-party party.”

The annual block party is organized by The Silver Room owner Eric Williams, who opened the first-ever Silver Room in Wicker Park in 1997.

Williams closed the original Silver Room at 1442 N. Milwaukee Ave. in the spring of 2015 and opened up the Hyde Park shop at 1506 E. 53rd St.

In December of 2018, Williams returned to Wicker Park with a holiday pop-up at 1302 N. Milwaukee Ave. He originally planned to close the shop on Dec. 31, but the store could be here to stay.

Keeping in The Silver Room’s community-oriented spirit, Williams scheduled several events in the Wicker Park store.
