WEST TOWN — Chicago police are investigating a West Town shooting that left a man, 38, with a gunshot wound in his left buttock.
The victim was driving in the 600 block of North Ashland Avenue at about 12:26 a.m. Sunday when he heard a gun shot, police said.
The shot possibly came “from the sidewalk,” and appeared to be intended for a “dark colored vehicle driving alongside [the victim’s] vehicle,” police spokesperson Karie James said.
No one is in custody. Area Central detectives are investigating.
