LINCOLN SQUARE — More than 20 breweries will be on tap at this year’s Horner Park Brew Fest.
Now in its third year, the event is a fundraiser to support Horner Park Advisory Council’s sustainability initiatives. In previous years, proceeds from the festival have gone toward the Horner Park Advisory Council’s protection of the park’s ash trees from the emerald ash borer.
This year’s beer fest runs from 6-10 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Horner Park at 2741 W. Montrose Ave.
Early bird tickets are $30 while general admission tickets are $40. These tickets include admission to the event, a tasting glass and samples from every attending brewery and cider house. A limited number of same-day tickets will be available at the door for $50. Designated driver tickets are also available for $10 and allow admission to the event and bottled water but no craft beer sampling.
Tickets are restricted to people who are 21 or older and no children, pets or outside food or beverages are allowed at the event. To buy tickets click here.
This year’s participating breweries and cider houses include Alulu, Argus, Begyle, Dovetail, Empirical, Eris, Half Acre, Lagunitas, Lo-Rez, Kinslahger, Maplewood, Middle Brow, Old Irving, Penrose, Ravinia, Twisted Hippo, Short Fuse, Urban Renewal and Virtue.
As for food, this year’s fest will have tasty treats from L’Patron, Chicago Lunch Box, Fat Shallot, Beaver’s Coffee & Donuts and more.
