CHICAGO — A man has targeted women in their 60s during two recent robberies on the South Side.
The robber went up to the women from behind, grabbed their purses, knocked them to the ground and ran off, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
During one robbery, the man stuck something hard in the woman’s back and threatened to shoot her.
Both of the women were in their 60s, police said.
The robberies occurred:
- 3 a.m. June 17 in the 5700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue
- 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the first block of East Garfield Boulevard
No detailed description of the robber was available.
