Free, Fast HIV Tests Will Be Available Thursday For National AIDS Testing Day

The tests will be available at more than a dozen Walgreens locations around the city.

CHICAGO — Free HIV tests will be available at spots around the city in honor of National AIDS Testing Day.

Those interested in getting a test during the event Thursday won’t need to make an appointment and will get the results on-site, according to a Walgreens news release. The tests will be administered at more than a dozen Walgreens locations in the city.

Besides testing, people will be available to provide resources on HIV prevention, early treatment and PrEP, which can protect those testing negative for HIV.

The locations are open for the tests 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
