CHICAGO — A teenager and a man were wounded in separate shootings Thursday in West Humboldt Park.
Most recently, at 10:55 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was found wounded on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of West Maypole Avenue, police said. The boy had been shot in his neck and head and was unresponsive.
The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
Police were unable to find shootings and didn’t know what led up to the shooting.
Earlier in the day, at 4:41 p.m., a 28-year-old man was walking in the 1300 block of North Kildare Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.
The man was hit in his upper back and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Investigations were ongoing.
