CHICAGO — A 2-year-old boy was among three people shot Thursday night in Albany Park.
At 9 p.m., the three victims — the boy, a 29-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man — were inside a Jeep in an alley in the 4900 block of North Kedzie Avenue when someone in another car drove up to them and fired shots, police said.
The baby was hit in his elbow, the woman was hit several times in her abdomen and the man was hit several times in the left side of his body. They took themselves to Swedish Covenant Hospital.
The baby was transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital and the man and woman were transferred to Illinois Masonic Hospital. Their conditions were not available, but all were listed as “stable,” police said.
The shooter drove away. No one was in custody.
An investigation was ongoing.
