WICKER PARK — From 5 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday, parts of North Avenue near Hollywood Grill will be closed as Tessa Films shoots a commercial in the neighborhood.
No parking and tow zone signs will be posted on the following parts of North Avenue:
- The north side of 1610-1620 W. North Ave. (from Ashland Avenue to Marshfield Avenue);
- The south side of 1613-1657 W. North Ave. (from Ashland Avenue to Paulina Street).

If you’re interested in getting paid to be a film extra, the Chicago Film Office has a list of resources available for neighbors, Hopkins said.
“While not a guarantee you’ll be called back, you can visit the Chicago Film Office Crew and Casting website for more information,” Hopkins said in an email. It posts a list of productions currently filming and looking for casting and crew.
