CHICAGO — A 56-year-old man was shot and wounded late Tuesday on the Near West Side.
At 11:50 p.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2100 block of West Jackson Boulevard when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.
The man was hit in his left leg and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
