CHICAGO — Members of the LGBTQ community can get free clothing and toiletries at the Brave Space Alliance’s popup shop Thursday.

The group’s QT Shop will give attendees a chance to swap clothes with other participants and to look through gently used donated items. The shop will have everything from new underwear to business casual outfits and shorts.

“If you wouldn’t wear it or give it to your best friend to borrow, then don’t give it to us,” the Brave Space Alliance wrote. “All toiletries and underwear must be new. We have very high standards because we want everyone to come out of our shop satisfied and feeling themselves.”

Some toiletries and other items, like soap and condoms, will also be available for those who attend.

The shop will be open noon-4 p.m. Thursday at 2747 W. 79th St. Similar popups will be held once a month over the summer.

Clothing that’s left over will be donated to other drives and to community groups.
