CHICAGO — A 58-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were wounded in separate shootings late Sunday in Little Village, police said.
At 9:51 p.m. Sunday, the man was standing with a group of friends in the 2600 block of West 24th Street when someone in a gray car pulled up and a person in the car fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in the right side of his abdomen and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
The driver of the car took off, going west on 24th Street, police said.
Earlier, at 8:11 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was walking in the 2200 block of California Avenue when someone walked up to him and fired shots, police said.
The boy was hit in his right shoulder and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
No one was in custody in these shootings. Investigations were ongoing.
