CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot and wounded Thursday in Rogers Park, police said.
At 4:45 p.m. Thursday, the man was in Loyola Park along the lakefront in the 1200 block of West Greenleaf Avenue when he heard shots, police said.
He saw someone drive up to him and a person inside the car fired shots at him.
The man was hit in his upper left shoulder and he was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
The man had been playing basketball inside Loyola Park, according to the Sun-Times.
