RAVENSWOOD — Ravenswood On Tap will showcase the neighborhood’s expanding “Malt Row.”

Participating breweries and distilleries this year include Band of Bohemia, Begyle Brewing Co., Dovetail Brewery, Empirical Brewery, Half Acre Beer Company, KOVAL Distillery, Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., Spiteful Brewing and Urban Renewal Brewery.

Now in its fourth year, the two-day event begins on Saturday, June 22, and will take over Ravenswood Avenue from Berteau Avenue to Belle Plaine Aavenue. A $5 donation is suggested at the event entrance at Ravenswood and Berteau. Drink tickets are $7 each and cash only.

“Ravenswood on Tap is a neighborhood favorite because all of the businesses from breweries to retail shops come out in support of each other for a really fun weekend,” said Gene Wagendorf III, associate director of the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. “Festival goers will have some of the best food Chicago has to offer while sipping quality spirits and beer and listening to local bands.”

Funds from the event will benefit the chamber, Ravenswood Community Council and other local nonprofit organizations.

Dubbed “Malt Row” in 2017, the Ravenswood commercial corridor and surrounding area has quickly earned a reputation as “Chicago most diverse beer destination.”
