CHICAGO — Deluxe Tattoo will offer empowering tattoos to raise money to stop sexual violence as part of an international fundraiser.

The Lakeview tattoo shop, 1459 W. Irving Park Rd., is participating in Still Not Asking For It, a fundraising event where shops throughout the world offer specially designed tattoos and the proceeds go to the Joyful Heart Foundation. The foundation works to change how people respond to sexual assault and violence and help survivors heal.

The tattoos that will be available feature flowers, hearts and phrases like “No means no” and “No fear.” Deluxe Tattoo will also have specially designed tattoo options that will be revealed the day of the fundraiser. They’ll cost $100-$200.

The tattoos will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis, and Deluxe Tattoo will have 13 artists on hand for the fundraiser.

The Chicago fundraiser is noon-8 p.m. June 9 at Deluxe Tattoo, 1461 W. Irving Park Road.
