CHICAGO — Police have charged a man with carjacking after a Whitney Young High School teacher was held up outside the school earlier this week.
At 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, the woman was in her car in the 100 block of South Laflin Avenue when a man got in on the passenger side, pulled a gun and demanded her possessions, said Officer Anthony Spicuzza.
The woman got out of the car and the robber drove away, Spicuzza said.
At 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, officers and FBI agents found the woman’s stolen car and saw a 20-year-old man, Nicholas Williams, driving it, police said.
Williams was arrested and charged with possessing a stolen vehicle, police said. He was scheduled to appear in Bond Court on Thursday.
