CHICAGO — The famed Murphy’s Red Hots, which closed last summer, will return for a popup at Schubas this weekend.
The hot dog joint, which was open for 32 years, will return in the form of a cart outside Lakeview’s Schubas Tavern from Friday to Sunday.
It’ll serve up $4 Chicago dogs, $6 Polishes and $7 Usinger brats throughout the weekend. It’ll also have Old Style for $3 and Goose Island 312 for $5.
Bill Murphy, the Murphy’s Red Hots founder, will even return to help. He went to Schubas to show the team there the right way to prepare hot dogs.
The stand will be open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday outside Schubas Tavern, 3159 N. Southport Ave.
