WEST TOWN — Do you have any bobble heads, rolled up rugs or Chicago Bears jerseys collecting dust in your East Village, Ukrainian Village, Smith Park or Humboldt Park home?
Consider participating in the June 1 West Town Community Yard Sale.
On June 1 — or June 2, if it rains — sellers will set their own hours, which will be listed in this yard sale map.
Thus far, 37 households from across the area have signed up for the sale, organizer Megan Hagenauer said.
Residents must sign up via Google form by Friday. (Sellers will then have until May 24 to list what they plan to sell.)
Each seller will need a city permit, but Hagenauer hopes to bypass that by securing a single blanket permit from Ald.-elect Daniel La Spata (1st), Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd) and Ald. Robert Maldonado (26th).
City leaders allowed a blanket permit for the households that participated in a 2016 community yard sale, Hagenauer said.
