CHICAGO — Know anyone in the market for a neon-green piano or an elaborate Elizabethan gown?
The Chicago Shakespeare Theater is moving its storage space — and it’s selling a ton of its props and costumes in the process. The sale kicks off Monday and runs through Wednesday.
Among the items for sale will be that vivid green piano, a rideable horse statue, parasols, Elizabethan-style gowns and huge purple mushrooms. Prices will vary.
“This event would be perfect for vintage collectors and fans of kitschy/quirky décor items, as well as fellow creatives and theater makers,” organizers said.
The sale runs 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater storage space, 1919 W. Fulton St.
