HUMBOLDT PARK — A 28-year-old man died from his injuries suffered in a shooting early Sunday.
Kendrick Woods was in a car just before 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of North Rockwell Street when someone opened fire from an alley, hitting Woods in his right abdomen, according to officials.
He was initially taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center but was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 a.m. Sunday, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Woods lived in Madison, Wisconsin, according to the morgue.
No further information was available. Detectives are investigating.
