Albany Park Shooting Wounds Boy, 15, Walking Outside, Police Say

The boy was hit in his foot and was in good condition.

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded Thursday night in Albany Park, police said.

At 8:43 p.m., the boy was walking outside in the 3400 block of West Montrose Avenue when someone in a car drove up to him and a passenger fired shots, police said. The boy was hit in his right foot.

The boy ran to the 4400 block of North Hamlin Avenue and called police. He was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
