Lakeview, Lincoln Park Businesses Hit By Burglars 4 Times In Days, Police Say

The burglars got into the businesses through unlocked doors or by forcing them open, police said.

CHICAGO — Boys or men burglarized at least four Lakeview and Lincoln Park businesses within days, police said.

The burglars got into the businesses through unlocked back doors or by forcing open the doors, according to a Chicago Police business alert. They stole from the businesses and then ran away.

The burglaries occurred:

  • 5 p.m. Friday-9:30 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Diversey Avenue
  • 2-3 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of North Clark Street
  • 2-5:48 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of North Clark Street
  • 2:36-8:40 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Diversey Avenue

In one instance, the burglars were described as boys or men who were 17-25 years old.
