DOWNTOWN — Teens 15-18 can work out for free all summer at Planet Fitness locations in Chicago.
The gym chain is hosting the “Teen Summer Challenge” to give teens a safe place to exercise and spend time with friends while out of school, according to a Planet Fitness news release.
Besides having access to fitness centers across the city, teens will be able to go to free workout classes designed for young people Monday-Friday.
Teens who sign up will also be entered into a sweepstakes with a chance to receive a $500 scholarship. Planet Fitness will choose one random teen from each state and from Washington, D.C.
Teens can exercise for free May 15-Sept. 1 at any Planet Fitness location. They must sign up in person and, if younger than 18, need a parent or guardian present.
