CHICAGO — Massive pieces of art and light shows will be projected across the side of Merchandise Mart every day this summer.
The project, called Art on theMART, started last year with art projected on the 2.5-acre facade of the Mart five days a week. This summer, though, the installation will expand so there is art and light projected on the building every day starting May 13 and ending Sept. 29.
The projections drew huge crowds last year, when Art on theMART debuted. Some of this summer’s projections will be accompanied by music and performances from artists.
The displays start about 15 minutes after sundown and are visible for two hours.
