CHICAGO — A 45-year-old man was shot and wounded late Wednesday in West Town, police said.

At 11:10 p.m., the man was walking in the 1500 block of West Huron Street when someone in a passing car shouted gang slogans at him and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his foot and he was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

The gunman was in a gray or silver SUV, police said. No description of the attacker was available.

No one was in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
