CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery Tuesday night in Bucktown, police said.
At 8:58 p.m., the man was working on his car in the 2000 block of North Hoyne Avenue when four people in masks came up to him and tried to rob him, police said. The man refused to give over his belongings and one of the robbers shot him.
The man was hit in his right leg. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as “stable,” police said.
Three people of interest were being questioned. An investigation was ongoing.
