CHICAGO — One person was killed and two others wounded in a shooting in Humboldt Park on Wednesday night.
At 7:02 p.m., the victims were in a parking lot near West Division Street and North Monticello Avenue when someone in a dark-colored car drove up and fired shots at them, police said.
A 20-year-old man was hit in his chest. Raymond Hands, whose home block was not immediately known, was pronounced dead at 7:48 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
A 19-year-old man was hit in his right thigh and a 34-year-old man was hit in his left leg. They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as “stable,” police said.
No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
