CHICAGO — A robber held up a River North business early Friday, police said.

At 12:11 a.m., the man walked into a business in the 500 block of North Orleans Street and demanded money from the cashier at the register, police said.

The cashier gave the man money and he left, police said. No one was injured.

The man was described as 5-foot-7 and 180-200 pounds with a red jacket, black hat and gloves and a black backpack, police said.

No one was in custody. An investigation was ongoing.
