SOUTH LOOP — The Shedd Aquarium is giving Chicagoans a chance to hang out with sharks, iguanas and polar bears … oh, and scientists, too.
The next round of vacations, called Shedd Adventures, start in April, when travelers can go to the Bahamas to snorkel with sharks while learning from the Shedd’s animal experts. Other vacations will focus on looking for polar bears and beluga whales, helping research iguanas and looking for big cats in South Africa.
The trips are open to couples, single people and groups.
The vacation options:
- Study Sharks in the Bahamas: April 6-12 for $4,500
- Iguana Research Expedition in the Bahamas: June 5-14 for $3,700
- Up Close With Polar Bears and Beluga Whales in Churchill, Manitoba: July 27-Aug. 2 for $3,995-$5,995
