WEST TOWN — Chicago Police officers are on the lookout for a man they believe drunkenly beat another man to death inside a Ukrainian Village home.

The 32-year-old victim, Michael John Ruby of suburban Palos Heights, died early Saturday after he was punched several times in the face, authorities said.

He was drinking with a group of people inside a home in the 2300 block of West Augusta Boulevard, police said.

He and another man got into an argument, which led to a physical fight.

The suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead two hours later.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office ruled Ruby died from “craniocerebral injures due to assault.”

The identity of the suspect is known, but as of Monday morning, no arrests had been made, said Jessica Rocco, a Chicago Police spokesperson.
