WICKER PARK — If you’ve been thinking about splurging on a pair of leather booties, act quickly.
Steve Madden will close its Wicker Park storefront at 1553 N. Milwaukee Ave. on Feb. 28, a clerk confirmed Wednesday.
The New York City-based women’s shoe company has called the storefront home for roughly a decade, the clerk added.
As a result, shoes have to move.
Boots and booties — some of which typically retail for well over $100 —are on sale for $19.99.
Heels, flats and other shoes are going for as low as $9.99. Clothing fixtures and displays are on sale, too.
The reason for the closure is not yet known. Steve Madden’s corporate office did not immediately return a call for comment.
